Reviews
Staff was good. The course should have advertised they were still in the over-seed process. There was know way to visually identify the fairways from the roughs. For $65 and the drive I was very disappointed.
Staff was excellent. The courses in terrible conditions. Not worth the $75 price. This is a $50 course. The greens were bumpy and the fringe around every green was pathetic. One could not put from the fringe at all. See pic
I've been disappointed very rarely by courses in the Phoenix area in the last 25 years, but this track took the cake. The practice facilities have NEVER been good, but this visit was the worst. Terribly maintained practice putting green. Fully half or more of the blue tee boxes were closed due to lack of care. NOTE TO MAINTENANCE STAFF: Fill in the divots on each, re-seed them, water, abundant sunshine, I would bet you would see tremendous results within a month. I don't know what the issue with the greens are, but downright deplorable. Very bumpy & SLOW. This should not be the norm only 3-4 months after an over-seed, and then to find out that the pro shop, restaurant & restrooms were closed at 5:15 pm was beyond the pale. You all ought to be ashamed. We won't be back, EVER.
The course seems to be neglected, but it is playable. My main criticism would be the grass needs to be cut, and the trash cans need to be emptied more frequently. Other than that, had a fine time. Also, the staff was top-notch and extremely welcoming.
Absolutely horrible conditions. Patchy inconsistent greens and practice facilities stood out the most. This course is so far below the standards of Phoenix area courses in prime season. I felt completely ripped off @ a $75 green fee. The only reason I gave it two stars is because the staff was very friendly.
Played today at Coldwater and it was in the worst condition I have see it in the last few year. Greens were in poor condition with dirt on them from the worms coming out at night. Fairways were in ruff shape and mostly dried out. The good...looks like they got new carts and the deal of the day price was reasonable. Not worth the regular green fee rate.
Horrible for the residents near this course. Weeds are constantly growing over and into our yard and never taken care of proactively. I have to call EVERY season, multiple times, and EVERY single time, they blame the HOA, and the HOA blames them again, and after enough calls they finally come to take care of the weeds... just in time for the season to change over.
The course was not in good shape. It has its ups and downs over the years. It was reasonably priced. Greens look like they hadn't been watered in a while. I'm sure it will improve over the near future.
